Under natural (physiological) conditions stem cells are released from bone marrow. They travel by blood circulation to a tissue that has been disturbed and requires regenerative intervention.Thus, migrating cells naturally respond to signals from damaged tissue, for example after physical stress, an injury or infection.
With increasing age, the amount and biological activity of these cells decreases, so the tissue quality gradually deteriorates and ages. This physiological process can be partially reversed.
The germs of so-called mesenchymal stem cells can be therapeutically collected from the bone marrow or isolated from peripheral blood and adipose tissue, and can be multiplied in the laboratory as needed. These prepared cells are applied to the damaged area, which then regenerates.
Mesenchymal stem cells secrete a great amount of bioactive molecules with a unique immunomodulatory activity. We use these properties to treat allergies, autoimmune diseases and transplants.
In cooperation with zoos, we participate in the diagnosis and treatment of rare or endangered species in the Czech Republic and abroad. We have been working for a long time with veterinary specialists in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
