An extraordinary project:

About the project

Stem cells are a rare component of our blood since both white and red blood cells originate from so-called haematopoietic stem cells. Red blood cells ensure oxygen distribution, white blood cells are the basis of our immune system. Thus are haematopoetic stem cells a vitally important for our functioning.

With increasing age, the number of stem cells declines, and simultaneously they are damaged by illnesses, chemotherapy,  unhealthy lifestyle, or even by a polluted environment.

Our project brings an opportunity to preventively collect and preserve haematopoetic stem cells from cord blood and adults. In the case of future need, your stem cell would be available and ready for application at any time. By performing this preventative intervention, we will be able to reconstruct haematogenesis or strengthen your immunity in the case of some severe infections (e.g. HIV) or oncological diseases.

The other critical type of stem cell is so-called mesenchymal stem cells. These partake in the continuous life-long regeneration of injured or worn-out tissues. The amount of mesenchymal stem cells also declines with aging, thus why our ability to recover weakens.

The timely storage and preservation of this stem cell group allow us to supplement and strengthen our regeneration potential.
